For those of us in the United States, November is typically a month we spend reflecting on the things we’re thankful for. Though this tradition technically stems from the American Thanksgiving, at CCH we think there’s no better way to spend a month than being intentional about sharing why we are thankful. 🙂 As it says in Psalm 107:1 “Oh give thanks to the Lord, for He is good, for His steadfast love endures forever!”
So to kick us off this month, we want to start by saying how thankful we are for God and everything He has done with CCH. To be honest, once you sit down with any of our team, staff, or children, it’s almost impossible to hear the stories and not see God’s hand in them. To us, sharing about our work enables us to glorify God and what He has done through us. God has made impossibilities possible, He has given orphans homes, and He has a plan to change India.
We are so thankful for God’s love, grace, mercy, and peace at CCH. We are thankful for each of our children here at CCH. We are so thankful that God is with each one of us with every step we take. We are thankful for God to be using us and maybe even YOU to literally help change lives in India. We are overwhelmingly thankful for Jesus dying on the cross so our sins are forgiven, even though we’ve done nothing to deserve it.
Check back with us throughout this month as we continue to reflect on the specific areas God has taken care of us and the places that have touched our hearts.
Here is one last verse to let God speak into you for this next month:
“And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God. And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.”
