India is known for the fastest growing economy on the planet in one of the most diverse places in the world. The opportunities are endless… but not for all. Statistics show that at least 50% of children in India won’t complete primary school and 90% don’t finish college.

We aim to change that.

We live in a time where the ability to make a tangible difference is here and easier than ever. Have you ever heard of college-educated orphans in India? Most likely not. But at Covenant Children’s Homes, we truly believe that education is essential in breaking the cycle of poverty. For every child we don’t empower, the pattern continues: of poverty, of lost identities and orphaned hearts.

Most children in these Indian villages aren’t receiving an education. It’s simply not possible, and statistically, these circumstances aren’t likely to change. By sending our children to school, we’re able to give them a promising future. We see education as a hope – and Proverbs 16:16 encourages us that wisdom is far greater than gold; understanding is to be chosen rather than silver.

Throughout October, we’ll be sharing stories and updates about our students – all of which who have been studying and thriving with their education. We already have college students studying to become engineers, government officials, doctors and teachers! Even more beautiful than this, they’re continuing to discover who they are in Christ. They grasp the importance of prayer and community. Their hearts aren’t eager to become wealthy or successful for themselves but rather to make a difference for their families and invest in the next generation of Indian children.

We hope you follow our CCH College Sponsorship campaign and prayerfully consider partnering with us to change India, one child and one student at a time!
